Imagery

MEANING: Language that appeals to the 5 senses.

EXAMPLE: The breeze blew through the trees and you could hear the rustling of the leaves crackling of branches and the faint whispers on the wind.

Connotation

MEANING: Opposite of Denotation A Feeling Associated with a word.

EXAMPLE: Enemy, Contender, Friend.

Allegory

Allegory is a figurative mode of representation conveying a meaning other than the literal.


EXAMPLE:
The old Man Represents The Bus Driver
The Boat is the in action of the transportation department
The Sea is the temperature or the thing that were up against
The Marlin is the big thing that the bus driver is trying to catch or fix
The Lil boy is the people trying to help the bus driver succeed.
