they go to the nice young black persons house to go to sleep and he meets the children and the wife and they are really nice to griffin and then when they were getting ready for bed to kids kissed griffin good night and heloed it! it reminded him of his kids. it was his daughters fifth birthday and he went outside and cried about his situation and after griffin woke up from his nightmare about the whites surrounding him with there Hate Stares.
then they were putting buckets of water on the stove and they started talking about the alligators in the swamps and griffin asked if his host was worried about his kids and he says no they like turtles and they like them better then us anyhoo.
he decides to lay off the pigment pills and just uses the stain and his hands and face are way darker then the rest of his body so he has to remember to not to undress infront of host's and he called his wife and kids while waiting for the bus and loved it but felt weird about his situation.

BLOBBLLOOOGGGGGGGGG 95-108

in this part griffin gets picked up by a very nice man that griffin concludes is color blind cause he was nicer then any other and after driving for a lil while he buys griffin a hamburger. they then go to his house to sleep and they talked and talked getting to know each other.
he looked for jobs and one guy let him tell him what he could do and then told him he couldnt do any of that there.
then he walks down by the swamp and gets picked up by a man with a shotgun the an reassured griffin that it was for deer hunting not for black hunting. this man is not a good guy he is talking about how he has sex with all his black lady workers before they are even on payroll and griffin says dont they refuse and he says not if they want to feed there kids and live.
then he accuses griffin of stirring up the other black people and threatens to take him out.
he then gets picked upp by a young black guy, that offers his floor to griffin and griffin accepts. the man tells griffin about how he has a job but the whites are trying to get the blacks to be stuck in debt to the whities.

BBBBBBBBBLLLLLLLLLOOOOOOGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG 77-94

in this part he is walking the road and starts gettin picked up by White men and gets roped in to some pretty odd ass conversations...about his sex life and the size of his penis...HAHA
then he even gets asked, in a round about way, if he will get naked......EVEN MORE HAHA
then his host (the white guy that picked him up and took him to his house to stay) gets telephone calls with people calling him names then where ever p.d. went he started carrying a handgun with him.
griffin gets way depressssssosoooooooooooooo.
p.d. then tells a story about how a negro man went to vote and the guy asked him questions like what the first line of the 32paragraph on the us constitution was and the man ansered right then the last question can you read this; it was in chinease, the negro answerd i can only make out the headline. the registrater then says you can read that? and the negro said yes it says " this is one negro in mississippi that doesn't get to vote this year."
then he goes to a church and he gets a pamphlet book thing that is about racial justice
he starts to read it out side the church and relizes that he is a big black man standing out front of a church reading about racial justice and sees people staring him down so he tucked it into his pocket and went on his way.

BLOOOOOOGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG 55-76

During this part of the book griffin is taking a bus to Mississippi and encounters an eligantly dressed negro man named Christophe who happens to be racist against BLACK people and he says he is more intellegent then the others and he started spouting off sentences in german spanish french and japaneas and saying stuff like do you know how to speak these languages? then christophe actually starts crap with another black passenger and is about to whoop him down but the passengers brother calmed them down. then christophe started up with it again and then he moved to sit by griffin and started up a conversation. Then he tried saying that griffin was a florida navaho.... HAHA BS
any ways he meets bill and bill tells him about poplarville; where Parker youths lynching occured. and he tells him about how the people dragged him down numerous stairs making sure his head hit every step on the way down the stairs.
when he gets to mississippi he calls a friends guyand hes white he meets him undert a lamp posyt after dark and goes the white mans house and stays there. smoking stoggies as he stayed up all night reading his friends book .

BLOGGGGG 17-37

I think its sad how the blacks have to be segregated to the ghetto.
maybe those white folks should try to live there for a while so they begin to smell like despair and exhaustion .
It's sad that they can only use the restrooms at train or bus stations and in a church. they can't just go use the restroom at a restaurant.
I also think its sad that he couldn't stand up and give the old gray hair lady, cause the other Negros on the bus scorned and glared at him.
i think it is funny that the lady starts to like him and that he has to tell her hes married and avoid her.
i think it is messed up that a little white kid would call him a no hair baldy shit head. even if he is black it i don't think its right that a little kid should be telling another person especially an adult that he is a shit head.
It also annoys me that they other whites yell at the blacks and say "hey n****r don't go in there" and "we DON'T serve N****r's."

BLOGGGGGGGGGG 38-52

I don't think that the discrimination in this book is right.
I think it's super messed up that the bus driver wouldn't let him off the bus because he took too long to walk to the front of the bus; and when he asked to be let off at the next stop the driver just drove right on past it.
Then at the bus station when the lady was like "I cant break that big of a bill" and he asked well is there somewhere in here i could find a place to get a ticket like maybe from a manager and the lady stormed off and came back and threw his money and ticket at him and he had to pick it up off the floor. Then the waiting station was only for whites inside the bus station and outside there was a waiting room called the colored cafe, why couldn't the white people just get over themselves and sit with the colored people.
I also dislike how the Mississippi judicial department didn't even really prosecute the guy in the lynching murder kidnapping case.
It aggravates me how people can just get away with murder and hate crimes.
It isn't right at all and if i could i would go and try to change how southern whites feel about and treat blacks.
